AMOS
In the Hellenistic and Byzantine period Amos was
one of the three towns that had connections with Rhodes.
The theatre, temple and bases of statues can be visited at
this ancient city which is in the middle of Turunc and
Kumlubuk bay.
LORYMA
It is now called Bozukkale and was build by the Rhodes Knights. The ruins of the castle which was build for defending are very ancient and wonderful to see. The harbour of Loryma was a shelter to the fleet of Athens during the sea battle at Peleponnes.
CEDRIAC (Cleopatra Island)
Is one of three island that belonged to the Carian civilisation. Besides the temple, theatre, graveyard and the Basilica there is a legend about Markus Antonious and Cleopatra which tells us that the sand of the beach was brought from Egypt for Cleopatra. You should definitely see the nature, history and beauty of the Gokova Gulf.
